LOS ANGELES, February 28, 2022 - E. Martin Estrada, a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, is now a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America. Membership in the college is selective and does not exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.
Estrada, a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex litigation and investigations, was inducted at a ceremony on Saturday, February 26, during the American College of Trial Lawyers’ spring meeting in Coronado, California.
A former federal prosecutor, Estrada has tried more than thirty federal and state trials and arbitrations. The Stanford Law School alumnus has argued over a dozen appellate matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals and conducted hundreds of investigations.
“I am deeply honored to be inducted as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers,” Estrada said. “I have long admired the college’s mission and its work within the legal community. As a fellow, I hope to continue the college’s commitment to excellence and the practice of law at the highest ethical standards.”
Estrada joins Ronald L. Olson, Brad D. Brian, Gregory P. Stone and John W. Spiegel as the fifth Munger Tolles partner to be inducted as a fellow.
Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers comprises the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Fellowship in the college is given by invitation only to experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose careers are marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for fellowship. The college has 5,800 members including active fellows, emeritus fellows, judicial fellows who ascended to the bench after their induction and honorary fellows.
