Nick R. Sidney

Nick Sidney is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Nick has represented organizations in several industries, including higher education institutions and financial services firms.

Nick was previously in-house counsel at Amazon, where he advised business teams on fraud and abuse prevention, privacy, consumer protection, and competition matters. 

Nick earned his J.D. with pro bono distinction, from Stanford Law School, where he was the senior editor and member editor for the Stanford Law Review. He also received his A.B., with highest honors, in international relations from the University of California, Davis and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa.


  • The Regents of the University of California in defending petitions for writ of administrative mandate filed by current and former students challenging the university’s disciplinary proceedings and sanctions against the students for sexual misconduct.
  • An international law firm and several of its partners in a legal malpractice action involving claims it mishandled a patent infringement trial.
  • Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), as co‐counsel, in successfully obtaining asylum in the United States for a Guatemalan national.
